As Research In Motion continues to lose market share in the United States, some users still on their BlackBerry are reportedly embarrassed. Well, that's at least according to The New York Times.
In a piece called "The BlackBerry as Black Sheep," some users express a bit of shame for having to continue to use a BlackBerry.?
"I want to take a bat to it," Rachel Crosby told the Times. "You can't do anything with it. You're supposed to, but it's all a big lie."?
While this is obviously not a scientific survey, it's clear that RIM's market share and reputation have taken a big hit over the last few years as the iPhone and Android devices have grown in stature. At the same time, there are still a lot of people who have to use a BlackBerry for work -- that's starting to change, though.
RIM wasn't thrilled with the article or the fact that the Times didn't reach out to it before publishing the piece.?
"Hey @nytimes: Agree to disagree. #ProudToBeTeamBlackBerry," RIM tweeted from its official account.
So, any of you feel ashamed of your BlackBerry or are you proud to be on Team BlackBerry?
